Campaign: Western Cape Blood Service

#YouthTube is an annual competition that challenges the youth to create a short uplifting video, spreading awareness about blood donation.  The theme for the #YouthTube 2020 was "Ubuntu".

This is our team - We used the blood group type HH as our campaign team name.  Our chosen campaign theme and name was "#MyNumber". 
The #MyNumber notion was to get people to share their number: “their number” being the amount of times they have donated their blood to help us spread the importance of blood donation.
We chose these specific stakeholder beneficiary's, as developing relationships with them could potentially help to inform and educate consumers about blood donation in the most effective and far-reaching manner possible.
Social Pilot was used as our social media platform scheduler. 
Planned rollout: Thursday, 1st October 2020 to Saturday, 31st October 2020.

WCBS Mobile Application additions: The Counter

The Counter would be added to the application to keep track of how many times a person has donated blood, how much of their blood has been used, when the last time the blood was used and shows other donors who also use the app, creating the feel of a social media application. Alternatively, if the donor doesn’t wish to download the app, they will still be contacted with regards to the previously-mentioned information based off of their given contact code.
